Facebook Restaurant City

One popular game with Facebook gamers is Restaurant City. This is a simulated game where the players have to manage and look after their own restaurants. The gamers are expected to do the cooking, wait on tables and clean up after the customer has departed. In addition, this reality simulated game also allows the players to design their own building, network with different restaurant owners, trade ingredients from the menu as well as earn points.

Just like any other simulated game, players should be willing to allot a lot of time and effort to the game. It also requires a fair amount of patience. Unfortunately the speed of the progress in the game cannot be altered so be prepared to get frustrated when you want to move to the next level. However, it does involve using creativity to build the business.

The key to being a successful restaurant owner is making pot loads of cash. You would need money quite frequently in the game to refurbish the restaurant, buy selected ingredients and even to change the way your staff looks. In addition, you would also be using money in the game to ensure that your restaurant staff get adequate rest and are peak health as it will allow them to work better.

Just like in real life, the restaurant will earn money when a patron dines. However, there are many other ways to earn money in the game. If you see any trees growing around the restaurant, you can use the cursor of your mouse to click on them. This will result in coins dropping from certain trees. These coins are automatically deposited into your bank. You try the same trick with the trees belonging to other restaurant owners, but these owners should be your friends in Facebook.

You can also earn money by selling items you do not use. This trick should be adopted when you are running low on cash. Also, you can save money by using a little bit of common sense. For instance, why invest in an expensive stove when it will take the same time to cook like a cheaper model. Another option to earn money is by picking up rubbish and trash littered around the restaurants.

The Beatles Rock Band comes out on September 9, 2009 (the same date that newly remastered Beatles CD box sets are coming out.) And for people that love both The Beatles and playing Rock Band this is a very big day indeed. In fact, I would say that Christmas is coming early this year!

The Beatles Rock Band comes out on September 9, 2009 (the same date that newly remastered Beatles CD box sets are coming out.) And for people that love both The Beatles and playing Rock Band this is a very big day indeed. In fact, I would say that Christmas is coming early this year!

The Music

The game includes 45 Beatles songs which is nearly 1/4th of the songs they released during their career. That’s a pretty good sample! Among the songs included are these:

Early Classics: “I Saw Her Standing There,” ”I Want to Hold Your Hand,” & ”I Feel Fine.”

Psychedelic Era: “I Am The Walrus,” ”Paperback Writer,” & ”Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

‘68-’69 Era: “Get Back,” ”Revolution,” & ”Here Comes the Sun”

Along with the 45 songs that come with the game, players will also be able to download entire Beatles albums, starting with Abbey Road.

The Gameplay

One of the really cool things about the game is that players will play “as The Beatles” and will actually get to play throughout their whole career starting at The Cavern in Liverpool in 1960 all the way through the recording of Abbey Road in 1969. The graphics look amazing. Not only do the characters look a lot like The Beatles but there are also many different stages and some really groovy psychedelic images for songs like “I Am The Walrus.”

The Instruments

If you get the full version of the game it comes with “Ringo’s drum set” and “Paul’s bass guitar.” You can also buy “John & George’s guitars seprately.” These are really good looking replicas of the instruments The Beatles actually used.

Harmony Singing

For the first time ever on Rock Band, harmony singing will be included. Up to three different voices will be able to sing at once. If you are familiar with The Beatles songs then you know that they used harmonies in many of their songs, now you and your friends will get to sing those harmonies on Rock Band

Up To Six Players At Once

Because of the fact that there can be three singers at once, there can now be a total of six players playing at one time! This really makes Beatles Rock Band the ultimate party game.

The game NCAA Football 2010 is hitting the shelves on July and we are dying to know what new features they have added to this great game. There has been a lot of talk on online forums and blogs about the new features. Today, we dive into the virtual crowds to see if NCAA Football 2010 is truly, a college football fans Madden.

This is a football simulation game in which you can select teams from real NCAA conferences, create and use the plays, and manage recruiting and development of players. Football games are presented with extensive player stats, real college fight songs, and voice commentary from professional broadcasters. The game is due out in July so the game itself looks a whole lot more polished than previous installments. A main contributor to the hype has been the presence of NCAA developers answering questions in the forums. This great involvement by the game developers has been a pleasant surprise and the response by community members has been astounding.

A lot of game play tweaks have been made, though everything else looks kinda similar, which kinda stinks, would have liked them to build it up some. The release of NCAA Football 2010 will bring perhaps much fun for gamers, and it also will bring the VSCS. It is a 10 day tracker, where registered users play each other and report the results of their games. If they lowered the download price say 10 or 15 bucks I’m sure more people would download it if they can get it cheaper that way and the company could use the cheaper game cost against other companies in the industry like Sony and Nintendo.

I saw that you’ll get a code to download 12 teams with the game, but if you pre-order it you’ll get a code for 25 teams. I have it pre-ordered, however I won’t be downloading 25 teams. All college football fans will have an opportunity to play in the season showdowns, as the credits not only accumulate in-game but players can also earn credits for their school via new web-based games. Thousands of college football fans around the country will be on a mission to prove their school is number one with NCAA Football 10’s Season Showdown. I think EA needs to make sports games that are completely over the top. Half of the competition is skill, the other half is who can get the best genetic enhancing steroids.

I’m going to need a lot of data, not just on returning players and top teams, but on new players. I figured I’d get the ball rolling so I can create at least four teams before things get busy with real high school football in a few weeks. I would assume that the price of the game would be cheaper to buy online in the long run rather than buying the disc in the retail store due to manufacturing costs and store profit. From all new risk-reward strategic game play options to the first adaptive A.I, the game is an improvement from the last installment of NCAA Football.

Have you ever played the game Pikmin? You know, that silly little game for the GameCube where you use little yellow, blue, and red blobs with leaves and flowers on their heads to gather parts for your destroyed ship. Now take the basis of that game, add swords, armor, burning buildings, and a hint of evil, and you get Overlord 2. Released on June 23, 2009, Overlord 2 is the sequel to the 2007 video game Overlord. Produced by Codemaster and Triumph Studios, the player becomes an evil ruler of all that is dark and evil, using minions to do his or her bidding.

Background/Overview

In Overlord 2 you take control of the son of the evil overlord, both named, you guessed it, The Overlord. In the beginning you are a young boy who has been banished to Nordberg (a small, mountain town) due to your magical powers. You begin by chasing other children around with your club and scaring them into a house outside of town. Ultimately stealing their clothing to trick the drunken gate watcher that you’re not the “Demon Child.” Along the way you meet and control your much needed minions. Your minions are the Pikmin of your evil army. There are four different types, ranging from the Browns, which are strong and able to pick up any enemy weapon and use it, to the Greens, who are quiet assassins, doing excellent damage from behind and becoming invisible when told to guard. Every type of minion has their ups and downs, and it is best to learn to mix and match your types. During the course of your game play, you will attempt to rule the entire world or destroy it, making your classic good and evil decisions. You will kill, steal, and pillage to collect parts for your towers. Along the way you will meet several women, who you will take back to your lair (known as the Netherworld), and they will become your mistresses. Your mistresses will complain, nag, and give you minor pointers along your way. You can buy them things to keep them happy, and if you buy everything for one mistress you’ll get a cute little cut-scene where you and your mistress “Have some one-on-one time.” (don’t worry, the action is 100% censored). Without spoiling too much, you’ll soon realize that your goal is to destroy the evil empire (a copy of ancient Rome) as well as the small yet numerous Gnomes and the environmental activist Elves, who love “The Fluffy Ones.”

Controls/AI

The Controls are the downfall of Overlord II. Although you will get a hang of them within a short amount of time, it doesn’t mean they’re good. Left click sends your minions, right click calls them back, holding left click sends multiple minions, holding right click calls them back, alt to fire you spells, the one key controls just browns, two keys for reds, yada, yada, etc. etc.. The game has so many controls and they are so far spread out on the keyboard it feel like you can lose track of where everything is in the heat of battle. At several points I found myself going and checking the manual to see how to do something. Along with that, they will teach you how to do something once, and will never go over it again, making memory of how to do certain spells nearly impossible.

The AI isn’t much help either. Your minions are not the smartest bunch of slaves. Let’s use an example. Say you see a sword lying right in front of you, you want Minion1 (let’s call him Fred) to go get it. Fred runs in to go grab the sword; he avoids the sword and runs straight into a wall. You call Fred back, and you tell him to run back at it, you will have to do this about four more times, or send six other minions and hope one of them picks it up. This comes into play when attacking as well. Most times the minions will circle the enemy, which is good, however each type has a side in which they attack best from (Browns = front, Greens = back, Reds = Ranged, Blues = side/back). However, they will end up being all out of order, causing your entire green army to get wiped out in a single swipe. This causes deep frustration and annoyance.

What Did Overlord 2 Add?

Although it did add a fresh new storyline, Overlord 2 did not add very much. The basic game play, controls, minions, layout, and enemies are pretty much the same, slightly rehashed to attempt to give a new spark to the game. Some of the new features include a new crafting system, which has pre-made weapons. A new minion resurrection system was added, which allows you to revive old minions and all their equipment at the cost of unarmed minions. Also a new feature was added in which you will take the body of a minion, and lead your army using that minion. This allows you to go down small paths not reachable by your large and lanky Overlord. Lastly a new city-controlling feature was tacked onto the game, which allows you to buy a city using Brown minions, and choose to control or kill the entire city. Controlling the city will allow you to walk in and be praised and the citizens will also give you items and energy to creature more minions. Although killing the entire city is much more enjoyable and the few citizens who are left will fear and obey your every command. If you played the original Overlord, most of the features excluding these will be almost unnoticeable, and nothing more then “cool” new features, which are easily overlooked. For those who have not played an Overlord game, these new features will seem essential as if they should have been in the first Overlord, and you won’t think of them as “New.”

Is it worth it?

Overlord 2 is a game that may be overlooked by many people, but is definitely worth a try. If you are going to be playing it for PS3 or 360, I would recommend renting it, if you are going to be playing it for PC, it is worth borrowing from a friend or buying when it goes down in price.

Pros
• Interesting and new style of play, unlike any other game (excluding Pikmin)
• Good play time, will take 30-40 hours to beat
• Storyline is good and attempts to keep the mood light with comic relief
• Overall the game is fun and easy to pick up and play, although hard to master

Cons
• Multiplayer is a joke. Has a split screen option, but no co-op or major online play
• Bad controls and stupid AI cause much frustration
• No major new features added from Overlord to Overlord 2
• Very repetitive enemies and play style (Charge, attack, gather loot, rinse, lather, repeat)

Overall I would give this game a 3/5

In the red corner, released on May 26th, 2009, a Playstation 3 exclusive title, and starring the lean mean fighting machine Cole MacGrath, Infamous! And in the blue corner, released on June 9th, 2009, a game for all platforms, and follows the shape shifting protagonist known as Alex Mercer, Prototype! These two games are very similar in style, story, and even release times. But which one is better? Will it be Prototype, the fast paced in-your-face action game? Or will it be Infamous, with its strategy and storyline that is second to none? Two will enter, only one will emerge victorious. Who will it be?

Storyline/Overview

Prototype – Prototype is a game based in the near future. The story begins with Alex Mercer (the player) about to be dissected by two scientists. Just before the scientists carve you open and pick at your insides, your character suddenly wakes up. You are then chased outside, where you are shot several times. Alex becomes stunned but is not out for the count. He manages to escape with little to no damage thanks to his new found regeneration abilities. The player is then told that Alex has amnesia, and can’t remember anything about his past or who he is. That’s right people, you guessed it, you’ll now have to spend the entire game figuring out who Alex Mercer is, and seeking vengeance for whoever made him the horrible creature that he is. Along the way you will be given several weapons and ways to kill and destroy things, which range from an extending arm much like Mr. Fantastic, to stealing a poor and pitiful soldier’s assault rifle, and using it to kill all of his other soldier buddies. You will also be given the ability to “consume” an enemy, which plays a major role in the games framework. Consuming will appear in almost everything you do, you consume to learn about your past, you consume to trick enemies, and you consume to gain health back quickly, pretty much everything. This can become a little tedious, but the massive amount of ways to consume enemies keeps it from getting stale. Military and the infected are your main enemies throughout the course of the game, you may choose to help one or the other more, but both will attack on sight.

Infamous – Infamous takes place once again in a near future world. This story however begins as soon as you press the play button. Your background will immediately explode with what looks like an EMP shockwave, leaving the player shocked and confused. Cole MacGrath is your main guy in this adventure. It begins with you waking up in a half destroyed city, your buddy Zeke will immediately call you and inform you that you need to escape from the mess of a city that you’re currently in. While running away you realize that you have superpowers (who would have guessed?), and you don’t know how exactly you got them. Once you make it to the bridge leading to the next city, the sky will rain down with lightning, and all nearby police and civilians will be killed. Once you make it across the bridge, Cole with conveniently pass out. It will then give you a comic-book style slideshow explaining what exactly happened. Your main objective here is to kill the people who caused the destruction of your city, get out of the city (which is on lockdown after the first mission), and either save or destroy the city along the way. Cole has the powers of electricity, which allows him to do pretty much anything he needs. Kill, fly, heal, destroy, you name it; Cole can do it using his electrical powers. Along the way you will fight upwards of three different types of enemies. Your first will be the Reapers, a ragtag group of thugs who come in large groups but are easily destroyed. Next is the Dustman, a group of homeless people, who band together after the explosion in order to take over the district in which they live. Lastly will be the First Sons, an ancient fraternal organization, who are the strongest and most persistent group of enemies.

Side Missions

Infamous – In Infamous you will be given the option of doing several side missions along the way. As you do these side missions, the city will clear out of any bad guys, and will allow you to walk freely without getting shot at. The missions will consist of doing anything from your basic kill missions to posing for pictures for a local photographer. Although every side mission is repeated 2-3 times throughout the entire game, the large number of different missions and randomness of the mission order keeps it fun and interesting. There are jobs specific to your karma level (good or evil) that will appear. Good jobs generally requires you to help the cops and get rid of the baddies in a clean and lawfully just manner, while choosing the evil missions generally involves a massive amount of bloodshed usually demanded by the people. These jobs will help your karma level swing one way or the other, which will unlock more upgrades for your abilities. However, there is one negative to the side missions, once they are complete, the area is clean, for good. Meaning if you finish all the side missions, there will be no more enemies for you to play around with.

Prototype – With the complex storyline of Prototype, it is hard to see where side missions would come into play within the life of Alex Mercer, and Radical Entertainment doesn’t attempt to explain how they fit in. The side missions in Prototype are general used to gain extra experience points, which are the main way to upgrade your skills (along with consuming). However, the experience from the main missions and the amount of experience you gain from randomly killing is sufficient enough to get 90% of the skills you need and want, so most will be doing them to get some break from the main storyline or just to have a little bit of fun. Missions come in three forms, the first and most random is your standard race missions. Get to checkpoint A, checkpoint B, checkpoint C, etc. in the allotted time, the faster you get there, the more experience you get. Your second and most enjoyable will be the kill missions. Most will give you a set power, and let you run amuck killing as many enemies as possible, the more you kill, the more experience you gain. The last type of mission will be your consume missions, which begin by consuming marked army personnel. You will then be asked to consume X number of people. Do it all correct and in the time given, and you’ll get a nice chunk of experience. Although these missions are fun and good break in the main storyline, they will get old fast. And for those overachievers, Prototype will tell you how many more side missions you have to complete, so if you’re like me, you will want to finish it just to say you did.

Sandbox

For those who don’t know, when someone mentions the word “Sandbox” in a video game, they are referring to the ability to reign free and do whatever you want. Well some games, like Call of Duty are extremely linear, others like Grand Theft Auto allow you to explore freely and do as you please. Both Prototype and Infamous are set in a sandbox style game play, which means you choose when you want to do the missions, and how many side missions you would like to do.

Prototype – Prototype does an excellent job of allowing the player to really feel like they are in control of the city. The city itself is extensive and is mapped out to look exactly like Manhattan. Alex himself is able to climb up buildings very easily, and jump off of buildings and fly to the next one using his “Glide” ability. This makes just running around the city fun in itself. As well, since the game has no moral obligations to be good or evil, you have the ability to kill who you want when you want. And with the abundance of civilians noticeable around every turn, you will find yourself pulling out one of your many weapons and going to town on the nearest patch of passersby. This part of the game (unlike almost every other aspect) never seemed to get old; I enjoyed just running into the middle of a military base and fighting for a good five minutes before sprinting away. I have to give serious ups to Radical Entertainment for the work that was put into the sandbox style play.

Infamous -While his counterpart (Alex Mercer) is able to run straight up walls with no problems at all, Cole must literally climb up buildings. He will have to grab onto windows, gutters, wires, dents, and scratches in the buildings in order to get to the top. This can make the free roaming ability a little more tedious and slow paced, but gives a good challenge on those buildings which have few notches to climb up. As mentioned earlier, the side missions will put a serious cramp in your style if you choose to finish them all. Once they are all complete, you will be left with civilians. If you choose the evil route, and choose the evil ending, there is no major problem with this, however, if you are good, you will run out of things to shoot, and fast. Once and awhile a few enemies will appear in contained areas, but the civilians along with the few remaining cop members will usually take them down before you can even get a shot off. More than likely you will end up turning bad, or starting a new game in order to keep having fun.

End Result?

Both Prototype and Infamous are extremely well developed games, both are worth purchasing. If you have to choose one, and you own a PS3, go with Infamous. Its superior storyline and ability to keep you entertained is an extreme plus. However, if you are more of a sporadic gamer, who usually doesn’t finish games, Prototype may be your game.

Infamous -
Pros
• Amazing storyline that is captivating and interesting
• Simple and fun, easy to pick-up and play
• Enjoyable side-missions
• Karma decisions, resulting in different storyline, skills, and ending
Cons
• Fairly short if played straight through
• Climbing can slow game down and frustrate
• Enemies become very difficult to kill
• Completing side missions can cause player to run out of enemies to fight

Prototype -
Pros
• Fun sandbox mode
• Many different weapons and abilities to choose from
• Movement and travel is easy and simple
• Map/layout fits Manhattan exactly, and looks well done
Cons
• Confusing and complicated storyline
• Fairly easy, even on hard difficulty
• Repetitive missions

Just buy it; I can’t honestly offer you any more appropriate advice regarding this game. Far too rarely in my video gaming ‘career’ have I come across a game which exhibits the perfection that you will find in this title. This game literally has nearly everything a person could want in a piece of entertainment media, but we’ll get to that in a moment.

In Fallout 3, you are ‘the vault dweller’ – a character of your making who will have the race, sex, and appearance of your choice. The year is 2277, two hundred years after a nuclear war between the United States and China has ravaged the entire world. A few families managed to buy their way into underground fallout shelters, or vaults. Your character is a descendant of these fortunate few.

Your story begins in Vault 101 where you are raised by your father until he disappears during your teenage years. Without ruining too much of the storyline, I will say that events lead to you being forced to leave the vault for the first time. As you stumble into the blinding light of Washington D.C.’s Capital Wasteland, your adventure truly begins. In your quest to find your father, you will traverse the wasteland that was once the greater D.C. area while exploring settlements, ruins, and the general wreckage that was once a thriving society.

The moment that you take this fabled first step out of the vault is the moment that the game opens wide to your whims. You can search for your father or head in the opposite direction. You can wander the wasteland helping its citizens or become their worst nightmare, stealing and murdering across the massive game world. You can explore long-forgotten locals, search for valuable commodities to trade for weapons and armor, and even take up permanent residence in two of the settlements.

Regardless of your reason for traveling this vast (and I truly mean vast) wasteland, you will be forced to fend off packs of savage raiders, slavers, and various forms of mutants – whether mutated variations of familiar wildlife or entirely new creatures which are the result of 200 years of life in the irradiated wastes. Combat against these dangers involves an intriguing mixture of real-time combat and the V.A.T.S. system, which lets you freeze the action to queue attacks on one or more enemies and even target specific body parts. These V.A.T.S. attacks are more likely to cause critical damage and are a great way to sort out the chaos of tough battles. The game also offers a wealth of combat options through weapon variety and character specialization.

These character choices are one of the strong suits of the game. Each time your character gains a level you are able to choose perks which can help specialize your character to fit your play style and interests. Through this specialization you are able to create a savvy negotiator, a mad scientist, a crafty sniper, an explosives-wielding maniac, or many other possible combinations. The sheer number of different types of character you can play, along with the many choices you face in the game itself will have you playing through several times over.

Both main and side quests are intriguing and fun, if you choose to play them. Most feature several possible means of resolving the problem or completing the goal at hand. The world’s non-player characters are lifelike and each gives a sense of individuality and uniqueness. Every single line of dialogue spoken by these characters is fully voice-acted and while many characters share the same voice actor, the other differences between these characters do a good job of making each seem unique.

Overall, the game world is very lifelike. While it is often barren in places and makes heavy use of the colors brown and gray, this only helps to reinforce the idea that the player is in a hopeless wasteland of post-apocalyptic horrors. You really get the feeling that the citizens of the wasteland struggle to survive. The game developers also did a great job of showing the dark side of humanity in this setting. While many of the wasteland’s people wish only to survive in peace, others stay alive by killing, stealing, selling others into slavery, and even feeding on the flesh of their own species.

As I earlier mentioned, there just isn’t much missing here that one would hope to find in a piece of entertainment media. The game has it all: action, suspense, horror, drama, comedy, and best of all a believable, lifelike world and intriguing story. Combine that with great game play, combat, character development and growth, and it’s easy to see why this game is such a winner. Topping it all off, the game has fantastic replay value. At the time of this writing, I have logged over 300 hours into this game and have four different characters I am currently playing along with another one planned for the future.

If you love gaming the way I do and haven’t played this title yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up. This could be one of the greatest gaming experiences of your life.

My Score: 10/10

Besides the game you also receive a resistance stretch band which is made to help increase the level of strength training exercises like bicep lifts and curls and shoulder presses.

These games help you focus on both your upper and lower body. These workouts are fun and entertaining all the while keep you fit. If you own a Wii balance board this can be used along with this game but you don’t need too so don’t run out and buy it if you don’t already own it.

The Wii Active include such games as softball, tennis, boxing, and bowling. There is plenty to choose from so you will never get bored doing the same workout day after day. There are even some running activities and dance routines if you like that sort of thing.

There are a lot of options to keep your motivation up. The music is really good and up to date and the avatars are very impressive and look just like the top fitness gurus.

This game keeps track of your progress from the first day you input your profile so that you can keep track of how much weight your losing, how much strength your gaining, and your overall fitness levels.

With the nunchuck controller and wireless remote the workouts are going to go seamlessly from one exercise to the next and it always keeps track of your movements and progress.

The Sports Active uses a very unique leg strap with a pocket that you attach to your upper thigh. You place the nunchuck into the pocket and this monitors your movements of the lower body like nothing else out there.

You see real time feedback from the personal trainer on the screen. The Wii Active was made for women though men use it all the time but it’s made to work on common areas that are problems like arms, waistline, outer and inner thighs, abs and buns.

This video game also teaches you about physical activity, lifestyle and nutrition. This really is a complete package.

Though some of the features might be annoying, on the whole the game is definitely worth trying.

Lovely girls are dangerous sometimes. Don’t agree? Listen to the story I tell you!

It is called “The gloomiest story of love and hate”, and I’m rather prone to agree. Though it begins very innocently – the main hero meets a beautiful girl named April, who suggested their dating. They spent a wonderful evening in a cafe, and she invited him to her place to have some coffee. Everything went smoothly until he sipped his coffee and felt the strange taste it had… He came to himself in a very strange place with a message on a wall.

The message was even stranger than the place, and it doesn’t say anything particular, but gives some instructions to fulfill. Following those, the heroes gets to the next room where he learns some more about where he is and what he should do to get out of the terrifying and weird game he found himself part of. As time passes, things will become much clearer, and his love for April will turn to something absolutely different. But before he knows the truth, he’ll have to fulfill lots of strange (that word again ) tasks and survive some extreme dangers. But I’ll let you discover the whole story by yourself and talk about the game play instead.

For each chapter you’ll have a number of tasks to complete. Some of them are presented in a strict sequence and some can be fulfilled in any order. They are mostly connected with finding some items in the screen or using some items already found, which is not unusual at all. Though most of the items are rather conspicuous, some of the actions will require deep thinking, so there is enough challenge in the game. There are also some mini-games, mostly jigsaw puzzles, to make the game play a bit more diverse.

One thing that makes the whole game even more challenging is the fact that you are nervous. And with each wrong action, just a tiny misclick, you become more and more nervous. Bright side – when you do something right, you recollect your poise. Beware of the yellow meter and be careful in clicking to unnecessary spots – otherwise you might end up with no nerve at all. In this case you’ll have to start the chapter again – and after several times it can become rather annoying, I must admit. But aside from this the game is really catching.

Are you Lost in The City yet?

This week has brought us several games that creatively remake the idea of Build-a-lot strategy game play and put it to historic setting. Romopolis is a great example how it can be done to make a perfect game.

The Empire needs your services, citizen! Are you ready to work for your Caesar?

You will take up the part of a new Imperial Architect in ancient Rome and Caesar, the powerful Emperor, will observe your work, give you tasks and direct the development of his Empire with the help of your skills and talent. That’s basically all about the story. Let’s speak about the game play.

So, be ready to use your strategical thinking and plan everything ahead, as in Romopolis you’ll desperately need it to succeed. Each level represents a new city where you have to complete the mission given to you by the Caesar. You’ll have goals obligatory to fulfill before your deadline approaches and usually an optional goal fulfilling which will bring you a trophy. The goals are mostly like building a certain number of houses or some service buildings, having some resources in stock or a certain denaries balance (money, that is), or income. You might also be required to reach a definite level of commerce, religion, healthcare or culture in your city or have a minimum number of residents. All these are achieved by building different kinds of constructions and arranging them so that you could use the given area most efficiently. As for me, the most tricky goals are those connected with happiness. It’s rather hard to calculate, how many houses and gardens you’ll need and the plan how to place your houses and services in order to achieve the minimum necessary level. And the larger the house, the more demanding are its residents!

Tip: try to place the gardens so that they were surrounded with houses. And putting a house near several gardens also works well.

In order to build something you’ll need a number of resources. Some of them can be bought with money, like wood, stone and workers. Blueprints and concessions, required to unlock new constructions and upgrades, can also be purchased. But, for example, building lots are limited in quantity, tough you may get some more by cutting the forest or mining stones. These activities will also give you some materials.

There is much more about Romopolis, and I must say the game is genuinely challenging, and you do have to think hard and quick at the same time, but the fun is worth the effort. And if you don’t want to fulfill missions someone designed for you, you are welcome to select the Sandbox mode and construct your own city as you wish.

Welcome to your new service, citizen!

The second part of Yard Sale Hidden Treasures game is out – and up to the highest expectations of the series fans! The same cute graphics, addictive game play, quirky characters and exciting mini-games – and all new fun!

Anything can be turned into a stylish piece of furniture? Do you doubt that? I don’t!

And neither does Hanna Harlow, the beautiful host of Hanna Harlow’s Heavenly Homes TV show. And she is also sure that her spectators are talented designers, so she decides to hold a contest and feature the best submitted designs in her show. Of course, you are up to the challenge after all the great work you put in your home in Sunnyville. But which rooms will you decorate? It’s time to remember that the citizens of Sunnyville each asked you to decorate a room in their houses, and that in the neighboring Lucky Junction the season of yard sales is in full swing. Putting two and two together, you don’t hesitate before starting your quest for creating the best room ever! And, of course, the story won’t do without a mysterious person wishing to destroy the yard sales in their concept.

The game play is basically the same as in the first part. First you choose whether you prefer to compete in the Career Mode or just to take a Lucky JunAtion Tour, and select the level of difficulty (Relaxed or Timed).

Then you will be introduced to your first client, one of the set of weird and unusual personalities you’ll meet both in Sunnyville and in Lucky Junction. Each of them has his or her own addiction, and you’ll find yourself in a navy-themed room of a former sailor, in the ice home of S.Keymo and other, even more fascinating places. Each of the clients’ rooms requires major refurnishing and redecorating, and after you receive your wish list with the desired items, you can start your search.

For each level you’ll be presented a number of locations which can be visited and revisited in any order. For each location there is a list of items to find. Some of them will be later used in your decoration activity.

You are also presented 3 hints for each stage. Plus you can look for stars in the scenes for additional hints. But be careful – very often after you have passed all the locations you’ll be given extra tasks, and you might need all the help you can get for them, so don’t waste the hints. There is also a possibility to magnify any area you wish with a magnifying glass.

When you have all the ingredients you need you proceed to a decorating mini-game where you create a magnificent interior design object from the shabby things you found on the yard sales. These games consist of separate steps and area lot of fun, as you dye or construct something against the clock.

So, are you ready to check Yard Sale Hidden Treasures: Lucky Junction?
