SimCity 4 has quickly become one of the most popular of the Sims games. This version of the Sims game allows you to play God in ways that were previously not possible. In SimsCity 4, you are allowed to control your virtual universe in ways previously unimaginable. There are three modes to choose from in SimCity 4: God mode, Mayor mode and MySim mode.

If you choose to start in God mode, as most players do, you’ll quickly find that you are in complete control of what happens to your virtual world. For instance, you can cause a natural disaster to befall your city, including twisters, tornados, volcano eruptions—you name it. You can also set buildings on fire, or cause other types of general chaos and havoc. Of course, being the God of your Sims universe does not have to entail disaster and destruction. In fact, perhaps one of the most gratifying aspects of playing SimCity 4 is to play God, but in a good way: you can sculpt valleys and mountains out of the bare terrain, and lay seed that grows into forests. You can also fill your world with animals, but be careful: stampedes have been known to occur!

Like other versions of the Sims game, SimCity 4 also allows you to play mayor. As major of your city, you can design and build your own city, and make it as realistic as you want. Once you have established your own metropolis, you can also connect your city to other nearby towns or cities. This can let you create your own extensive region of SimCities. Once you have built up a massive region of SimCities, you will find that your cities will begin to compete for resources. As mayor of your city, you will also be responsible for keeping your city safe and secure. You are responsible for deploying your police units to the scene of fires, crime scenes, riotous mobs, strikes, and other such events.

Finally, most gamers agree that one of the best aspects of playing the Sims game is keeping up with the Sims characters. Once you have established your city, let your character inhabit the town and live out their lives. You can see your characters at home and at work. You can experience big city life through the eyes of your Sims characters, both the hellish or fabulous aspects of it.

SimCity 4 has been updated to reflect the new technology available to today’s gamers. Previous versions of Sims game have mostly used two-dimensional diametric projection and sprites. SimCity 4 represents a departure from this technology. It uses a three-dimensional engine to display its graphics. Most Sims fans agree that the graphics in SimCity 4 are more realistic and vivid than in previous installments. Certain objects, such as cars, can be viewed in 3D. Other objects and buildings appear more textured and realistic. Other updates include over three hours of background music that are presented in MP3 format. The pieces range from four to seven minutes.

If you are looking for a quick start to SimCity 4, here is a handy cheat list that can get you ahead of curve faster. Whenever you feel like using one of these cheats, simply press down on CTRL + X during game play, and then enter one of the following codes. To avoid having to deal with the power requirement when building your city, type in “fightthepower”. To change the name of the mayor, type in “hellomynameis”, and then type in your new mayor name. To pause the clock, type stopwatch. To add one thousand dollars to your treasury, type “weaknesspays”.
