Take a Tour of The Sims Home Options in the Bustin’ Out Expansion Pack
In the Bustin’ Out Expansion Pack, there are several new things to do. One way to get to know your fellow Sims is to visit them in their own homes. The new version also encourages you to get out about town more and affect the way the town works as well as what goes on inside of your four walls.
The Goths are still around in Goth Manor. If you are a ghost hunter or an inventor, you might like to take up camp here. The creepy haunted Victorian comes complete with a backyard graveyard and strange, mutated plants.
If you need to make friends, they you ought to go to Casa Caliente – the Sims’ version of the Love Shack. It is a mixture of 60’s love children and surfin’ USA. Neon lights, funky hair, and love-inspiring music are all the rage!
If you have a more military-style Sim who is content with the bare necessities, The Octagon is your place. Your basic bunker with plenty of cots, concrete, and camouflage, it makes do with the bare minimum. You may be able to find a technological marvel or a top-secret item with a little investigation, though.
If you don’t mind a hazardous work environment, and are in to all thing science, then the Shiny Things Lab should be your new home. It is full of every high-tech junkies’ dreams of equipment, including computers. Just watch out for the Toxic Waste! Perfect for those with computer skills or who are into science.
Got a Sim interested in going Au Natural? Then Pixel Acres is the place for you. The first nudist colony for Sims, you can walk around in your nakedness – of enjoy a fun game of table tennis.
If you are low on cash, you may want to crash at Mom’s house for awhile. She has been busy while you were gone, doing some construction and hiring an interior decorator. Do not be fooled though, Mom is still her same old self, and you may find yourself wanting to move out as badly as you wanted to move in.
If your Sim is a slacker and/or slob, he or she may feel right at home in Dudley’s Trailer. Dudley is the epitome of slackers, spending all day playing video games, air hockey, or painting. Be advised though, if you want to move out of Dudley’s Trailer you will need to get yourself cleaned up first.
Miss the 80s? Check out Mimi’s House – the once material punk girl has been downsized to cheap knock-offs and sale items, but still retains its nostalgic 80s feel.
If your Sim is creative, then Studio 8 is the place to go. Not very high on class, it is high on creativity with plenty of opportunity to develop your artistic side.
If your Sim is focused on getting pumped and in shape, Toane’s Gym may become your new hangout. Open 24 hours a day, it is equipped with all the latest machines needed to get your Sim into shape.
Tinsel Bluffs is the place for all the wannabe starlets of the Sim world. Part old world charm, part modern steel, it is full of Hollywood gossip. Be aware though, few stars are ever really found in Tinsel Bluffs.
Got the urge to dance or just a party Sim? Then Club Rubb is the place for you. You can dance it up all night long, become the DJ, or just watch the party happen.
Lastly, for the ultimate in elegance you can aspire to move into Malcolm’s Mansion. Keep in mind that such a heavenly retreat has a price tag to match – so it is only for the “high rollers” of Sims. You may find it well worth the cost though if your Sim can afford the stay.
