Livin’ Large with The Sims a Popular Expansion Pack
Livin’ Large is one of the newest additions to the Sims franchise. It has quickly proven to be a hit with Sims fans that are always looking to add a sense of novelty to their Sims game. Even the most dedicated and addicted Sims fan eventually tires of playing with the same characters, locations and objects. One of the easiest ways to make the Sims game feel new again is to purchase and install one of the Sims expansion pack. What are these expansion packs, and what can they bring to your Sims game? An expansion pack is simply an add-on to your regular Sims game. Think of the expansion pack as an impressive accessory for your Sims game. When you purchase and install a Sims expansion pack, you will get to introduce new players to the game. There will usually be new locations to design, build or visit, and you will have access to many new objects that you didn’t have before. Each expansion pack usually contains a theme. This theme becomes important in the game play. For instance, each expansion pack provides its own set of challenges and goals for the Sims characters.
In the Sims Livin’ Large, there are a number of updates that will make this expansion pack particularly attractive to Sims fanatics. Like the rest of the Sims catalogue, the Sims Livin’ Large is also rated T. There are over 120 new objects available with this expansion pack. Other new content includes new skins, floors, walls, and the introduction of new non-player characters. The Sims Livin’ Large expansion pack also introduces players to five new fun career paths. These are paranormal, journalist, hacker, musician, and slacker. These obviously can provide you with hours of fun.
Like in past expansion packs, the Sims Livin’ Large lets the characters act a little racy, allowing them to ‘play in bed.’ Another element that has been carried over into this version is the guinea pig. Watch out—remember that guinea pig disease can quickly wipe out your characters. In addition to these things, all the old downloadable objects from past Sims games are still available. Moreover, the Sims Livin’ Large provides you with an extensive library of floors, walls, windows and antique furniture. You can use this to put together your own castle design, if you so wish. This expansion pack also increases the number of ‘plug-in’ walls and floors that can be changed. This means that you can have greater flexibility in building. Now, with the Sims Livin’ Large, you can use up to 65,000 plug-in walls and floors. There are also many more window designs to choose from in the Sims Livin’ Large.
The furniture and objects in the Sims Livin’ Large provide players with many more options to furnish and have fun. The way that furniture is presented in this expansion pack is original. Furniture in the Sims Livin’ Large is presented in ’sets.’ This means that groups of furniture are presented in groups so that all the pieces work together well. You can also put together your own unique design by pulling pieces from various sets. There are also new objects that your characters can interact with, such as a genie lamp and chemistry set.
The Sims Livin’ Large also allows you to have many more neighborhoods than the original Sims games. Now, you are allowed to choose from five neighborhoods that you can expand upon. This means that you now have the power to put together and control up to 50 families total. This provides you with 40 more families than you could create and control in the original Sims version.
